The municipality also emphasizes that the system can also be used by schools during routine days.
An elaborate online learning system for the city's schools has begun.
This is a new additional system beyond the various distance learning tools that each school uses, and its use is the choice of each school. It is a stable and high-quality system, with many functions for transferring knowledge and sharing, in order to conduct online studies and remote continuous communication in a collaborative learning environment.
The Office 365 Teams environment offers, among other things, real-time online lessons, submitting assignments, sharing study materials, social activities, conducting and recording virtual conference calls, uploading questionnaires, open chat, sharing material and more.
The Microsoft education team will assist with online tutorials for teacher teams, ICT coordinators, and ICT leaders and will also provide training and tutorials to quickly transfer knowledge.
It should be noted that the new system is an extension of the move the municipality made two years ago, which allows free download of Office software for students and teachers, and which the local government is now announcing together with the Ministry of Education and Microsoft to all local authorities. Students and teachers are able to download Office software to five home devices – including desktop, tablet, smartphone and laptop.
