Beginning this morning, Monday 6 July, until further notice, there is a national strike of social workers, and therefore all services provided by them in the social services department in the city will not function.
A national strike of social workers was announced this morning 6 July. Until further notice, all services provided by social workers in the social services department of the city will not function, including: the direct care of the elderly, families with special needs, domestic violence, families at risk, youth and young people at risk, victims of addictions, victims of sexual abuse and more.
In contrast, frameworks that are not based solely on social workers will operate such as: children's clubs, youth clubs, frameworks for special needs populations and clubs and dedicated activities for the elderly.
