On Wednesday, 2.6, registration will open for Summer programs and kaytenot for schools and kindergartens. Please register on the Sachlabim Association website by 14.6.21.
Summer school programs will operate in accordance with the outline published by the Ministry of Education, the municipality and Sachlabim Association, including kaytenot for an extended period.
The Ministry of Education has stipulated that summer school programs for schools and kindergardens will take place for three weeks between from July 1st to July 22nd (except for Tisha B’ Av). In addition, the municipality, through Sachlabim, is working to allow parents to enroll their children in summer camps for kindergarten and elementary school children from July 25 to August 12, inclusive.
Summer Programs will open, in the first three weeks of July Sunday through Thursday, from July 1 to July 22 and is designed for kindergarten and first- to sixth-grade students in the city’s schools. Hours: from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, and for kindergartens and “Chatatz” from 7:30 to 13:00.
This year, exceptionally, it will be possible to run summer programs for middle and high school students (7th-11th graders) in accordance with the needs and format to be determined by the school administrations.
Payment for the program is charged according to the socioeconomic cluster of the local authority, so in our city the price will be NIS 450 until 13:00. As always, parents of kindergarten and grades 1-3 can extend the school day until 16:30 by registering for tsaharon with the daycare operator operating at the educational institution during the year, with an addition of NIS 675 which includes a hot lunch.
Registration for summer programs will begin on Wednesday, June 2nd on the Sachlabim Association website and will end on June 14. Registration for extended tsaharon summer afternoons and registration for the follow-up kaytanot will be made on the Sachlabim website, or with the tsaharon operators who are franchisees of the municipality in some of the frameworks.
New residents who have registered for next year will also be able to enroll in summer school and kaytenot for kindergarten. The placement of children in the summer programs will be made at the end of June, based on availability.
The Education Dept emphasizes that students will be placed in the summer school according to the educational frameworks in which they studied in the current school year, in order to maintain the educational continuum. In addition, the municipality invests a lot of effort in recruiting staff from the system - teachers, kindergarten teachers, assistants and daycare workers and in cases where this is not possible, external instructors will be recruited.
The theme of the summer program in the kindergartens will be a "hocus pocus" camp in which the children will fly in the imagination to distant and magical places get to know animals and learn about natural phenomena, with an emphasis on social aspects.
In the summer program in elementary schools, children will be exposed to interesting content “around the world” and discover cultures and customs of different countries through activities, songs and stories.

As part of services to the residents, Sachlabim in the kindergartens will run follow-up camps for a fee for the last week of July, between 25.7-29.7. Also, from 1st-8th August, Sachlabim will run a district summer camp: "Molecule for Preschoolers" which will include enriching and experiential content.
This year, elementary school students will be able to enjoy a variety of workshops, sports camps and summer camps that will be run in the city by Sachlabim from July 25 to August 12. Among other things, the children will be able to choose from an experiential molecule camp, dog training, a combined sports camp, dance, roller skating and a variety of fascinating workshops.
