On 29.5.22, the municipality launched a new pilot: transportation routes for employees of companies operating in the city’s technology park. As part of the pilot, there will be a shuttle service from the Transportation Center and from the 'Pata’ey Modiin' station to several points throughout the park.
The pilot was born out of meetings chaired by Mayor Haim Bibas, with the directors of the companies operating in the park and a professional numicipal team which includes the municipality's director general, deputy director general and director of the Ofek administration.
The pilot, led by Ofek Administration, will last about two months, after which its success and the needs that arise from the field will be examined. Ofek administration wishes to clarify that the planning of schedules and locations is flexible and will be examined throughout the pilot, together with the managers of the companies in the park.
The travel route in the morning, (07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 08:30) which has been coordinated with the trains will start from the Transportation Center, in the parking bay of the taxis, will pass Pata’ey Modiin train station and from here will make stops throughout the park; at the square on Sderot HaMaala, the UPS Building, Channel 14 studios, Ligad 1 building, Telron building, Orian building, Rami Levy building, the Barko building and the bus stops located along HaReches Avenue.
The afternoon routes will pick up from the various commute points throughout the park to Pata’ey Modiin train station and to Transportation center. Pick-up time will start at 15:00, and will depart every half hour until 16:30. These are four rounds of pick-up route from the park to the train and transportation center.
Mayor Haim Bibas: "We are launching an important initiative for employees of the Technology park, one of the most important and largest growth engines in the city. This pilot is designed to make it easier to reach the various companies by public transport, and I hope there is great demand for it."
