Thousands of visitors and tourism professionals packed the Modi'in Maccabim Reut Municipality booth at the IMTM international tourism fair held at the Tel Aviv Expo complex at the beginning of this month.
The booth presented the city's new tourism branding, "Modi'in NOW, experience a city in nature" and attracted a large audience interested in the new urban tourism model led by the Learning, Education and Entrepreneurship Division. The tourism model focuses on combining a young and progressive city that is unique in the natural sites surrounding it, between ancient heritage and experiential innovation, and between local culture and unique personal hospitality.
Among the contents and attractions presented at the booth: culinary tours throughout the city, developing nightlife and entertainment on the city center avenue, a visit to the Hasmonean Heritage Museum alongside many nature trails surrounding the city, heritage sites, art exhibitions in nature and the urban space at Gallery 51.
The “Hosting Homes” project stood out in particular - residents who open their homes offering a variety of hospitality activities.
In addition, visitors were presented with options for bonding and fun days for groups, organizations and retirees, tours led by local guides, unique entertainment and leisure complexes, and even an Olympic climbing wall - as part of the concept of experiential and active tourism.
The great interest in the stand, the professional inquiries and the collaborations that were forged at the fair, illustrate the position of Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut as a rising tourist destination, offering a different urban experience – profound, human and full of content.
Modi'in NOW on the map.
