Local students shine in Robotics

12 excellence awards and seven representations secured the city’s place in the prestigious national championship, in Robotics competitions for students in grades 4-9.

Unprecedented achievements for student teams in the robotics competitions held for grades 4-9, in the First Lego League program.
A marathon of competitions were spread over eight days of activity at Romema Hall in Haifa, where the robotics teams of Modiin Maccabim Reut schools competed with great pride. No less than 20 teams from the city's schools took part in the preliminary round of the program, and demonstrated technological capabilities, innovation and teamwork at the highest level.

The local teams displayed an exceptional level of professionalism and values, with the summary of the results testifying to the depth of technological activity in the city. 20 teams took to the field and presented robotic projects and performances. 10 teams won 12 prestigious awards in various categories. 7 teams officially qualified for the national championship.

The impressive achievements of our teams are the result of consistent investment, dedicated education teams and talented and motivated youth. The seven teams that will advance to the national championship represent professional excellence alongside the values of teamwork and perseverance. We are proud of them and will continue to provide them with the tools to lead the technological future of the State of Israel."

Qualifying for the National Championship:

  • Lego Panda Team from Mor High School – 1st Place Championship Award
    Excalicore Team from Bnei Akiva Lapid High School Yeshiva – 1st Place Championship Award

  • ChocoCows Team from Ort Ironi Daled – 1st Place Championship Award and 2nd Place Robot Performance Award

  • IronTuskers Team from Ort Ironi Daled – 1st Place Championship Award

  • FurryTale Team from Ort Ironi Daled – 3rd Place Championship Award

  • Ikeshet Team from Keshet School – 3rd Place Championship Award

  • Kippa Bots Team from Amit Boys – 2nd Place Robot Design Award and 2nd Place Robot Performance Award

    Along with the national qualifiers, other teams won prestigious awards throughout the eight days of competition. The Motivator Award went to the Legion Team from Bnei Akiva Lapid High School Yeshiva for teamwork and inspiration. The Rising Star Award went to the Technic Sharks Team from the elementary school, which predicts a bright future for the team. The Innovation Project Award went to the RwallE group from Ramon School, which won 2nd place for a creative solution to a real-world problem.

    In addition, more than 20 volunteers participated throughout the competition. The meteoric success of the teams from the city's schools highlights the importance of technological and social education.
