Upgrading infrastructure on Arar Street

The municipality continues the municipal program to improve infrastructure in the older neighborhoods. Next week, the municipality will complete the phase of work in the area of the Emek Dotan and Emek HaHula intersection.

As part of the continued investment in improving the quality of the infrastructure and public space in the city, the municipality is currently preparing for the completion of scrubbing and paving works on the streets of Emek Dotan, Emek HaHula, Lev Ha'ir and now Arar Street.

The work, which began during July, is being carried out in sections, and is expected to be completed by Friday, 14.8.26. The work will take place Sunday through Thursday, at night only, starting from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM the next day. During the day, the roads will remain open to traffic.

This Sunday, August 9, 2026, the final phase of the work in this area will begin, when work will be carried out to resurface the section of the road on Arar Street, from the Emek Dotan intersection (excluding the intersection), to the Fikus intersection (excluding the intersection).

Due to the work that will take place every night from Sunday, August 9, 26, to Friday, August 14, 26 between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM the next day, the following changes to traffic arrangements will apply:

  • The road on Arar Street will be closed to traffic from Emek Dotan intersection, excluding the intersection, to the Fikus intersection, excluding the intersection.

  • During the work, exiting the Azrieli Mall parking lot to Arar Street will not be allowed.

    The work will be carried out at night only, in order to minimize disruption to traffic and the routine of residents, visitors and business owners in the area.

    During the work, parking in the parking bays in the work sections will be prohibited. Vehicles parked in the bays will be towed to Heichal HaTarbut parking lot. Access to the building parking lots in the sections where the work will be carried out will also be prohibited.

    The municipality asks drivers to prepare in advance, take alternative routes whenever possible, avoid parking in the work areas, and obey the instructions of the inspectors and the temporary signs in place.
