Road upgrades on Levi St and Nahal Tzalmon St

Work to upgrade the road on Levi St and Nahal Tzalmon St began this week. Temporary traffic arrangements will apply during the roadworks.

As part of the extensive municipal plan to improve infrastructure the old road will be scrubbed and repaved, in the section between Shivtei Israel St in the south and Migdal Levanon Street in the north. The work will be carried out in stages, to minimize disruption to area residents and drivers. Temporary traffic arrangements will only apply to the sections where the work is being carried out.

The work began on Sunday, 16.8.26, and is expected to continue until Friday, 11.9.26. Work will be carried out on some sections only at night, to minimize disruption to daytime traffic.

Phase Two – From Sunday, August 23 at 9:00 AM to Friday, August 28 at 9:00 AM
Nahal Tzalmon Street will be closed to traffic from the intersection of Sderot Yitzhak Rabin North to the intersection of Nahal Amud, excluding the intersection. Drivers approaching from Levi Street to the intersection of Sderot Yitzhak Rabin will only be able to turn left onto Sderot Yitzhak Rabin.

Continuation of the planned roadworks:
Phase Three – From Sunday, August 30 at 9:00 AM to Friday, September 4 at 9:00 AM
Nahal Tzalmon St will be closed to traffic from house number 16 to Nahal Hever–Migdal Levanon Square, excluding the circle. Entry and exit from Nahal Amud Street will be permitted with the direction of a traffic controller in the south direction and according to the progress of the works. No exit will be permitted from Nahal Zohar to Nahal Tzalmon and this section of the street will be a dead end.

Phase Four – From Sunday, September 6 to Friday, September 11 at 9:00 AM
At this stage, the work will be carried out at night only, and during the day the road will be open to traffic. During the hours of roadworks, Levi St will be closed to traffic from Kikar Shivtei Yisrael to the Yitzhak Rabin South intersection. No exit will be allowed from Naftali Street to Levi Street, and this section of the street will be a dead end. Drivers approaching Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard intersection south of Yitzhak Rabin Blvd will be allowed to turn left only onto Levi Street. The work will continue throughout the day and night. At each stage of the work, parking is prohibited in the parking bays, and access to the parking lots of the buildings where the work will take place will not be permitted.

Attention residents: In the sections where the work will be carried out, parking is prohibited in the parking bays, and access to the parking lots of the buildings will not be permitted. Vehicles remaining in the parking bays during the work will be towed to HaShvatim Sports Hall parking lot.
