On Sunday a festive event was held in honor of Rosh Hashanah, dedicated to new and veteran resident immigrants. The event was attended by approximately 200 people, who came to celebrate, sing, and dance together in a warm and exciting atmosphere.
The evening was led by the Lim-On Trio, whose members are new immigrants who came from different countries and bonded over their love of music. Each of them brings with them the culture and style from which they came, and together they created a musical connection of the diaspora.
The performance included familiar and beloved songs, klezmer music, and jazz, with the collaboration of vocalist Deborah Ben Asoli. Many of the participants joined in the singing and dancing.
The olim were greeted by the Director of the Social Services Division, Marina Sadeh (a veteran immigrant), who thanked the community for their responsiveness and warmth and emphasized the importance of accompanying and supporting immigrants throughout the absorption process.
Director of the Absorption Department, Rosita Berlin, also welcomed the participants and emphasized the city's commitment to continue strengthening the integration of new immigrants into the local community.
