Hundreds of reserve soldiers, regular soldiers, IDF wounded soldiers and lone soldiers came to a centralized city event to gather and receive information and assistance in exercising their rights.
Held in cooperation with "Tsahal Ba’Ir", the event was designed to save participants the need to move between different offices and bodies and allow them to receive centralized, accessible and fast responses on issues related to rights, benefits, municipal services, support and continued treatment.
Throughout the event, dozens of bodies and organizations were active, including the National Insurance Institute, the IDF, the IDF Disabled Organization, the Rehabilitation Division at the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Transportation, Tsahal Ba’Ir as well as divisions and departments in the municipality.
The event was led by the Youth Department in the Youth and Young People's Division, the Multidisciplinary Center and other municipal entities, as part of the expansion of the services provided in the city to reserve and permanent service members, IDF wounded and lone soldiers.
During the afternoon, participants were able to move between the stands, find out the rights they are entitled to, receive personal guidance, submit requests and receive treatment on issues that in many cases require a separate contact with several entities.
Mayor Haim Bibas spoke with participants and representatives of the various entities: "Our duty as a local authority is not only to say thank you to those who serve and bear the burden, but also to turn this recognition into real actions and services. This event does exactly that, centralizes the various bodies, information and assistance in one place, and saves people time, bureaucracy and running around. We will continue to develop solutions that will make it easier for reservists, permanent personnel, IDF wounded and lone soldiers and provide them with the service they deserve here, close to home."
The mayor noted that the event is part of a broader package of services and assistance for reserve and permanent service members and their families, and that the experience gained at the event will help to develop additional services and make rights and assistance accessible to residents.
Deputy Mayor Amiad Taub: "Beyond physical or mental injury, our wounded are fighting on an additional and unnecessary front against bureaucracy. From this place was born the idea of 'Arrangements Day' to bring services, interfaces and rights directly to them, so that they can concentrate on what is truly important: their rehabilitation and that of their families.
I am very proud that Modi'in, a city that leads in the percentage of service members and where hundreds of its service members were injured in the war, is the first city to lead this national model that runs throughout the country, and it is exciting to see the uncompromising mobilization of all IDF and Ministry of Defense bodies that came here today to leave no wounded behind."
