The Hasmonean Heritage Museum's "Modi’in Experience" tour series returns with tours of nature, heritage and history sites in Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut, guided by certified guides, for a fee.
Hidden among the residential neighborhoods, hills and open spaces of Modi'in Maccabim Reut are stories that are not always known: remains of ancient settlements, agricultural installations, archaeological sites and lookouts that provide a different perspective on the city and its surroundings. The "Modi’in Experience" tour series, led by the Hasmonean Heritage Museum, returns for a new season and invites residents to embark on a journey close to home, get to know the places they live next to and discover the connection between today's city and the region's past.
The series offers an opportunity to pause for a moment from the daily routine, go out into the countryside and see the familiar surroundings from a new angle. From a tour of the city's neighborhoods to a hike in the hills and ancient sites, each meeting focuses on a different place and story, and combines familiarity with local history, landscape and nature. All of these are right around the corner, and sometimes even a short walk from home.
The tours are led by certified guides and offer a combination of historical stories, seasonal scenery and an enriching experience for the whole family.

A tour that passes between two prominent hills, combines stories of battles and ancient heritage and provides a broad view of the entire area.
Later in the season, tours of additional natural and heritage sites in the city will be held.
