Demographics

In 2020, the population of Modiin Maccabim Reut grew to 100,000 residents.
The socio-economic level of the city was rated at 8 (on a scale from 1-10), which is higher than the national average and on par with other leading cities in the country.
Residents moved to the city from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and from cities in the center of the country such as Holon, Ramat Gan, Petach Tikva, Beit Shemesh, Rishon LeZion, Ramla and Lod.
The average Modiin resident in 2020 is 32 years of age, educated, professional, married, Jewish and Israeli born.
About 10% of the city’s residents are defined as new immigrants.
A third are from the former Soviet Union and a similar number emigrated from the United States, UK and France.
About 65% of the adult residents are college graduates.
The remaining 35% is comprised mainly of high school graduates. Most residents work in the fields of teaching, engineering or technical professions, medicine, computers, economics and senior positions in the army.
These areas of employment correspond to the city's population of young, educated, dynamic and successful individuals.
The census conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics showed that 79.7% of the residents own their homes and 18.5% live in rentals.
Of all the apartments in the city 35.4% are four roomed apartments, 31.8% are five roomed apartments, 92% of households have at least one car, 50.8% have at least two cars, 95.7% of the population owns a personal computer.
