Prayer Services Guidelines

Further to the Ministry of Health's guidelines, the municipality clarifies the conditions under which prayer services can be held in synagogues throughout the city and in particular in educational institutions:

Services will be held for up to 19 participants in the synagogue space, depending on the size of the building, so as to allow a distance of 2 meters between the worshipers.

It is mandatory to wear masks throughout the stay in the synagogue and adhere to hygiene rules.

The municipality makes it clear that synagogues that are located in educational institutions will be used for prayer purposes only and there will be no meals, ceremonies or other family events.

At the conclusion of each service, the synagogue staff must clean and disinfect the synagogue so that it is ready for the next prayer service.

The municipality emphasizes that municipal inspectors will conduct occasional checks to make sure that the Health Ministry's guidelines are not violated. If there are violation of the guidelines, the right to open the synagogue will be denied.

Guidelines for women who use the mikva:

We emphasize that a woman who does not feel good or in isolation cannot enter the mikvah.

The mikvas will also follow the Ministry of Health's directives on not congregating.
In order to maintain personal and public health, you must make an appointment in advance. For immersion on Friday and holiday nights, on Saturday evenings and the evening that Chag goes out (motzai Shabbat and Motzai Chag) you must call to make an appointment the evening before.
You should come fully prepared with a towel and slippers. Do not make any preparation in the area of the mikvah at all. It is mandatory to measure your external body temperature before leaving home.

Funerals

According to Ministry of Health instructions, only 20 people - may be present at any funeral.
A distance of 2 meters must be kept between people, and no more than 2 groups at a time.
