The city of Modi'in Maccabim Reut includes (as of 2019) 12 neighborhoods built in Phase I to which the Maccabim-Reut district was added in 2003.

Most of the neighborhoods in Modi'in were initially named after the architects who designed them, and the areas in which they were named after the building company.
In 2010, new names were selected for all city neighborhoods by the Municipal Names Committee according to subjects. Thus, the Moriah neighborhood bears the names of women from the Bible and the heroines of Israel, and the streets in the Nechalim neighborhood carry names of national rivers.

In the western part of the city, three additional neighborhoods are being developed, and in the city center the main business center is being built, including a central avenue, commercial, public and residential buildings.

Future neighborhoods

According to the original plans in the city's planning, Modi'in Maccabim Reut is building three more new neighborhoods in order to complete the first phase of the city development which will number 120,000 residents.

The three neighborhoods are Givat Sher, which is on the other side of Highway 431, opposite the Mesuah neighborhood of 3500 housing units. Nofim neighborhood, in advanced stages of construction, is located west of the Tzipporim neighborhood and has about 1500 housing units; and 2,500 units are planned for the Moreshet neighborhood west of Avnei Chen.

The Nofim neighborhood, which is in advanced stages of construction, is named after its relatively high topographic structure, with spectacular views of the rest of the city's neighborhoods and lowlands. The streets of the neighborhood are named after different parts of the country and geographical areas throughout the State of Israel.

In the future, a second phase of the city is expected to begin in the southern and northern hills, which is expected to complete the city's total contour plan, which will accommodate 240,000 residents.
