About half of Israel's population lives within an hour's drive of Modiin Maccabim Reut. The city is located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Four main roads link Modiin Maccabim Reut to national traffic routes: Jerusalem -Tel Aviv Highway (Highway 1), Highway 6 - passes near the city and runs from north to south, Route 431 connects Modiin with the cities of Rishon Lezion, Nes Ziona, Rehovot, Lod and Ramle, and Route 443 connects Modiin to Jerusalem, and to Tel Aviv via Highway 1 at the Ben Shemen junction.

In 2007, Israel Railways opened the train station at Pata'ei Modiin connecting Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, Modiin Maccabim Reut and in the future, Jerusalem.
In April 2008, the Central Modiin Train Station opened its doors. Thousands of the city's residents travel to Tel Aviv by train on a daily basis and arrive within 20 minutes. Adjacent to the Modiin Central train station is the new Central Bus station, which provides a full service of intercity and intracity routes right from the heart of the city.
