The National Transport Authority continues to change the transport lines in accordance with the Ministry of Health's guidelines, the Director of the National Public Transport Authority, Amir Asraf, with the approval of the Minister of Transport, Bezalel Smotritch and the office's general manager Keren Turner, on the cessation of public transport every evening.
This evening, March 17th 2020, transportation services will be stopped from 10pm (22:00 hours).
Tomorrow, March 18th 2020 - and every day from 20:00 in the evening until the following morning there will be no transportation.
In addition, public transportation will stop operating on weekends starting at 8pm on Thursday and will return to activity on Sunday morning. Cessation of transport in the evenings and weekends will include the bus, train and light rail lines.
Public transport on weekdays and until 20:00 will continue to operate in essential places including employment centers, supermarkets and shopping centers, health funds and hospitals.
The Ministry of Transport professionals, under the direction of the Ministry of Health, decided to stop public transport to non-essential places including educational institutions.
The national public transport professionals in cooperation with the public transport operators update the line maps and examine the necessity of each transport line. As a result, all lines of transport will be discontinued to entertainment venues, educational institutions and on night lines, and student lines. An analysis of the demand and needs of the passengers is being carried out at all times.
