About 120 new immigrants from different countries enjoyed an experiential activity in the spirit of Shavuot, organized by the Absorption Department team at the city’s Olim Center. For many of them, this was the first time they had celebrated the holiday in Israel.
In preparation for Shavuot, the new immigrants arrived at the Olim Center, which is operated by the municipality's Absorption Department, to enjoy a colorful celebration for the whole family, in the spirit of the holiday.
The event was attended by about 120 new immigrants speaking different languages. For many of them it was the first time they had celebrated the holiday in the Land of Israel.
At the event, the children, together with the Absorption Department team, enjoyed a petting zoo with exotic birds, an animal show, water games, craft stations and music. Like every event initiated by the Absorption Department that is dedicated to celebrating the holidays and other events that take place throughout the year, it had the important added value of creating a community and social connection among the new immigrants living in the city.
