Technology, Pyrotechnics and Performing Arts over Three Festive Nights in the City Center: Free Admission
On Hol Hamoed Sukkot holiday, the Sparks Festival returns for the third time to the city center of Modiin Maccabim Reut with three magical nights of shows, performances and attractions that combine advanced technology, powerful lighting, special effects and live performing arts.
The festival will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 8–9) and Saturday: night (October 11), along the city center avenue (the Maar) between 18:30 and 23:00. All events are open to the public and admission is free.
The festival, which has become a tradition in the city, presents a unique concept in the cultural landscape of Israel: a combination of technological innovation and street art, between intimate performances and spectacular productions on an international scale. The audience is invited to stroll along the avenue, stop at each point, enjoy, take pictures – and experience the city in a different and surprising light.
Mayor Haim Bibas: "The Sparks Festival returned to us this year as a symbol of steadfastness, unity and continuity. At the end of a difficult period, and in the midst of security challenges, we choose to raise our heads, gather together again on the streets of the city and celebrate the holiday of Succot in a spirit of brotherhood and hope. The Sparks Festival has become a unique tradition in the city, a celebration of innovation, culture and art in the heart of the public space. We are proud to continue to make quality content accessible to residents and build unforgettable experiences during the holiday as well."
Among the flagship shows that will be presented this year:
SKYFALL - an original show, developed especially for the festival: dancers, drones, light fans and a visual dialogue between man and machine: a futuristic and mesmerizing experience never before seen in Israel.
Isato - an international star in the a-capella beatbox genre. In a unique performance, Isato will create a complete music using only his voice - without musical instrument accompaniment or playback.
Circus and Fire - a rhythmic and immersive show, which will include juggling swords, torches, giant flames, cutting cucumbers in the air and a host of other spectacular stunts for the whole family.
The White Cabaret - an artistic group, one of the leading in Israel, that brings to the stage a combination of live music, aerial acrobatics, movement and synchronized lighting, in a work that connects body, emotion and space.
The performances are all held outdoors, in a festive atmosphere, and are adapted to different ages, so that everyone can find their magic spot along the boulevard.
The full program of the festival is on the municipality's website, with details of hours, show locations and recommendations. The municipality invites all residents to come, travel, experience and enjoy a different, creative and especially glamorous pergola.
Free admission. No vehicles, including two-wheeled vehicles, will be allowed to enter the event area, and no animals, alcohol, or weapons will be allowed into the event area.
