A new technology, education and leadership program in which school students mentor the city's elementary schools to develop important skills and technological ventures is launched.
Ort Ironi Daled high school is leading a groundbreaking technological educational program, under the name "Omega". The program offers a modern educational model, in which students transform from passive consumers of knowledge into active producers, in a dynamic environment that simulates the world of high-tech.
As part of the program, more than 3,000 students from 13 elementary schools in the city receive mentoring from a core team of 30 Ort Ironi Daled students - on space and technology topics, including through artificial intelligence and electronics studies.
The students form multidisciplinary teams that include development, marketing and management, and promote real technological and social initiatives. All of this is accompanied by mentors from industry and academia, and the development of budget management, decision-making and creativity skills that give them a toolbox for technological military service, and a professional career in the future. This is based on the concept that "action is the product".
Three main axes lead the program:
The training axis - for six years now, the program has been leading prestigious teams in the fields of space and technology in the city's middle and elementary schools. The teams are mentored by high school students and have reached national achievements.
The community axis - the program promotes the community through experiential activities in the city's schools.
The startup axis - an incubator for a groundbreaking idea: establishing a technological incubator that allows each student to establish their own venture in an in-depth process that includes brainstorming, problem research and dialogue with experts.
The program is unique in the city and aspires to be a national model that redefines the connection between youth, technology and leadership.
