On Friday, March 20th, 2026, the 20th Modi’in Run, the largest sporting event in Modi’in Maccabim Re’ut and the surrounding area, will kick off. Thousands of runners are expected to take part in the event, which combines an urban running experience on competitive and popular routes, and a sporty atmosphere for the whole family.
This year, the Run features a significant innovation: a new 15 km competitive track, designed for experienced runners who are interested in a longer and more challenging section. The new track expands the range of competitive routes and allows for gradual preparation for long distances.
Alongside the new route, there will also be competitive routes for distances of 10 km, 5 km and 1.8 km, as well as popular routes of 1.8 km without time measurement, suitable for children, beginners and even populations with special needs, and senior citizens.
In addition, there will be a 300-meter junior track, intended for children aged 3-7 and their parents. As is tradition, the city's elementary and high school champions will also participate.
Pre-registration is now open and the Sports Department invites residents of the city and the surrounding area to register and join the main sporting event of the year. Early bird discounted registration will close on 1.3.26.
Regular, permanent and reserve soldiers, as well as students from the city's schools will receive special benefits upon registration. All participants will receive a unique running kit that includes an official Modi’in Run shirt, a timing chip for the competitive tracks and a medal of participation at the end of the course.
