The municipality prepares for Passover: Increased cleaning, kashering of utensils “hag’alat kelim”, and disposal of chametz “biur chametz” throughout the city.
The city’s preparations for Passover, which includes extensive cleaning of public spaces, increased waste removal, and logistical preparations at various points throughout the city, allow residents to prepare for the holiday in a convenient, orderly, and safe manner.

Friday, 9th of Nisan (27.3.26), 10:00 - 14:00 at Yaffe Nof Synagogue, 7 Ya’ar Yatir

Instructions for hag’alat kelim:Remove labels and thoroughly clean dishes before arriving
Do not use dishes for at least 24 hours before washing
Limited to up to 5 items per family
Utensils requiring immersion “tvila” must be immersed after hag’ala
Hag’ala will not be done on pottery, enamel, wood, and pans
Do not arrive with packaged dishes
There will be no “libun”
Mikva’ot kelim are open all hours of the day

On Wednesday, 14th of Nisan 5775, 1.4.26, designated facilities for burning chametz will be set up throughout the city in the following neighborhoods between 07:30 -11:40:HaNehalim - Emek HaHula opposite house number 39, near the Sharbat Center, in the paved area
Avnei Chen - 80 Shani Street, at the end of the parking lot in the paved area (large container)
HaTziporim - 54 HaHasida Street, near the kindergardens
Nofim - 65 Ya’arot Israel Street, near the public parking lot
HaPrachim - the caravan complex opposite Ironi Alef high school (old MADA complex)
Kramim - Cheshvan Street opposite House 16, near the synagogue, in the paved area (2 containers)
Hanevi’im - opposite Eliyahu Hanevi Street 19, near the Kol Yaakov Synagogue
HaMeginim - 12 Motta Gur Street, in the paved area near the parking lot of Irony Gimmel high School

The municipality emphasizes that safety guidelines must be followed:
Do not light bonfires or burn leaven in public spaces other than at designated locations – enforcement will be carried out in this regard.
Burning leaven will only be done in designated facilities and only when accompanied by an adult.
Children should not be left near a fire source unattended.
Do not add combustion accelerators such as diesel, kerosene or gasoline.
