Approximately 8,000 runners will participate in the 20th Modiin Run on Friday, May 8th, 2026.
Accordingly, road closures will be in place for the safety of runners on several city roads during the following hours:
Emek Dotan Street (South) from the corner of Nahal Ayon Street to Yair Pereg Blvd, and Emek Dotan Street (North) from Holmes Place Square/Klil HaHoresh to Yair Parag will be closed to traffic from 03:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
Emek Jezreel Street (even numbers) from the corner of Emek Dotan Street to the corner of Nahal Yarmouk, and Emek Jezreel Street (odd numbers) from the corner of Emek Dotan Street to the corner of Nahal Bezeq Street will be closed to traffic from 3:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Nahal Betzet Street will be closed to vehicle entry/exit from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In addition, vehicles will not be allowed to exit Emek Dotan Street from Nahal Ga'aton and Nahal Taninim streets from 05:00AM to 11:00AM.
Yair Parag Boulevard will be blocked in both directions from 05:00. No access to Yair Pereg Boulevard from Emek Hula Street until 09:30.
Between 05:00 to 09:00, there is no entry and exit from Maccabim via Maccabim Boulevard and Yair Parag Road. During these hours, exit from Maccabim will only be allowed from Derech Rishonim Street (the northern entrance), towards 443 only, and this will be directed by a police vehicle.
In Re'ut, entry and exit towards Yair Parag and Menachem Begin Boulevard will not be allowed until 08:30. After 08:30, exit/entry to Reut will be allowed for those coming from the direction of Menachem Begin Boulevard only.
In the morning, exit/entry to Re’ut will be allowed for those coming from the direction of the HaShvatim neighborhood (Levi Street) between 05:00 to 08:30. The passage between Reut and HaShvatim neighborhood will be via HaEla Street, from Oz Tzemach Lane, Neighborhood Park and from there to Levi Street.
Additional streets that will be closed to traffic:
Menachem Begin Boulevard (South) will be closed from Kikar HaShoter to Leah Imeinu circle from 05:00 to 08:30. Vehicle traffic will be allowed for those coming from the direction of Esther HaMalka Street on Menachem Begin Boulevard on the road adjacent to the houses.
Residents of Emek Dotan Blvd are asked to park their vehicles in private parking lots and not on Emek Dotan Blvd. In accordance with Modi'in Police guidelines, vehicles parked on Emek Dotan Street starting Thursday, May 7th, at 22:00, will be towed to Heichal HaTarbut parking lot.
