Following the expansion of train operations to night hours, parking arrangements at Lev Ha'ir parking lot has been updated: the first 24 hours are free for train users, and then a fixed daily charge will apply.
Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut Municipality updates train passengers who drive to the station about a change in parking policy at the Lev Ha'ir parking lot, following the expansion of train operations to a 24/7 format.
The update in parking arrangements comes against the backdrop of the expansion of Israel Railways operations to night hours as well. According to the new procedure, train passengers will be able to park in the parking lot free of charge for 24 hours from the moment the vehicle enters. To receive exemption from payment, one must perform a digital registration at the train station, by scanning a QR code at the digital stations inside the train station, after passing through the ticketing stiles, and enter a vehicle number and telephone number. After the initial 24 hour period, a fee of 70 NIS will be charged for each day or part thereof.
This means that even in the event of a deviation from part of the day, after 24 hours have passed since entering the parking lot, a charge will apply in accordance with the new procedure.
Signage is placed at the entrance to the Lev Ha'ir parking lot, to ensure that information is accessible to drivers even before entering the lot, in order to avoid unexpected charges.
Information on parking lots and parking arrangements in the city also appears in the municipal database under the Parking and Parking Lot section.
