The municipality continues to improve infrastructure in the older neighborhoods. After completing the work on Emek HaHula, the municipality will begin nighttime work on “Lev Ha’ir” Street next week.
The municipality is now preparing for scrubbing and paving work on Lev Ha’ir, Emek Dotan and Arar streets.
The work will be carried out in sections, starting on Sunday, 12.7.26, and is expected to be completed by Friday, 14.8.26. The work will take place Sunday through Thursday, at night only, starting from 22:00 until 05:00 the next day. During the day, the roads will remain open to traffic.
During this period, scrubbing and paving work will be carried out on Lev Ha'ir Street, in the section between Transportation Square, excluding the square, and the Emek Dotan Intersection, excluding the intersection.
The work will be carried out at night only, with the aim of minimizing as much as possible any disruption to traffic and the routine of residents, visitors and business owners in the area. During the night work hours, the section will be closed to vehicle traffic, and no entry or exit will be permitted from the Azrieli Mall parking lot on the Lev Ha'ir Street side. Also, during the raodwork hours, no entry will be permitted to the "Lev Ha'ir Park and Ride" parking lot, south of the Azrieli Mall.
The following are the expected changes in traffic arrangements as the work progresses, depending on their progress:
From Sunday, 19.7.26, to Friday, 24.7.26, Emek Dotan South Street will be closed to traffic, on the odd-numbered side, from the intersection of Sderot Hashmonaim, excluding the intersection, to the Lev Ha'ir intersection, excluding the intersection.
From Sunday, 26.7.26, to Friday, 31.7.26, Emek Dotan Street will be closed to traffic from the intersection of Nahal Ayun, excluding the intersection, to the intersection of Sderot Hashmonaim, excluding the intersection, in both directions. In addition, Emek HaHula Street will be closed to traffic from the intersection of Nahal Ayun, excluding the intersection, to the intersection of Emek Dotan, including the intersection. Exiting Lev Ha'ir Street will be allowed by turning right only, towards Sderot Hashmonaim.
From Sunday, 2.8.26, to Friday, 7.8.26, Emek Dotan Street (north) will be closed to traffic, in the section adjacent to the Lev Ha'ir parking lot - Park and Ride, from the Lev Ha'ir intersection, excluding the intersection, to the Hashmonaim Boulevard intersection, excluding the intersection.
From Sunday, 9.8.26, to Friday, 14.8.26, Arar Street will be closed to traffic, from the Emek Dotan intersection, excluding the intersection, to the Fikus intersection, excluding the intersection. During the work, no exit from the Azrieli Mall parking lot to Arar Street will be allowed.
At all times of the road work, parking in the parking bays in the work sections will be prohibited. Vehicles parked in the bays will be towed to the Heichal Ha-Tarbut parking lot. In addition, access to building parking lots in the sections where the work will be done will not be allowed.
The municipality asks drivers to prepare in advance, take alternative routes whenever possible, avoid parking in work zones, and obey the instructions of the inspectors and the temporary signs in place.
