The Modi’in Football Club, Ironi Modi'in, received an honorable recognition this week, when it received a commendation at the President's Award Ceremony for Sports, held at the President's House in Jerusalem in the presence of President Yitzhak Herzog and his wife, and with the participation of Mayor Haim Bibas.
The recognition was given to Ironi Modi'in for the momentum and growth in the club's community involvement during the 2025/26 season in the National League. The club's owners Herzl Nissimi and the club's CEO Tal Mualem received the commendation.
Beyond the achievements on the pitch, the city sees this recognition as an expression of the path the club seeks to lead – a deeper connection between the football team and the city, the residents and the community. The club's community activities aimed at advancing Ironi Modi'in as much more than a football team, also focusing on strengthening the sense of belonging and local pride around the team.
The club and the municipality emphasize that the achievement is also based on efforts that have been built over the years, and would like to thank the previous management of Ironi Modi'in, which served the community and was a partner in creating the basis for the current work.

In parallel with the recognition at the President's House, Ironi Modi'in is already preparing to continue its path in the national league in the 2026/27 season and to continue to establish itself in the professional arena while at the same time deepening the connection between football and the community and making the club a center of municipal pride.
