Maoz Maccabim school has been awarded the National Education Award for 2026, in recognition of outstanding educational work, pedagogical innovation, values, and community partnership.
In an impressive achievement for the education system in Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut, Maoz Maccabim School, under the direction of Einat Greenberg, was selected as winner of the National Education Award for 2026.
The school is the oldest school in the city, inaugurated in Maccabim in 1988, and leads a unique educational concept of "practical curiosity." The school combines a long-standing community tradition with pedagogical innovation adapted to a changing reality.
The school's educational concept seeks to produce graduates who are curious, enterprising, and capable of dealing with a world of rapid change. Within this framework, six central skills are cultivated: observation, belief in one’s own strengths, creative thinking, teamwork, problem solving, and public speaking, which are integrated into the various fields of knowledge.
One of the unique characteristics of Maoz Maccabim is a school program for learning skills, developed by the school staff in collaboration with the community. The program is integrated into an innovative agile system called “Gumi Gam,” which enables diverse, multi-age, choice-based learning in various learning spaces.
The Education Administration congratulated the school on its award this week and noted that the award expresses recognition of the school’s ongoing educational work which combines professionalism, innovation, and creative thinking alongside education for values, inclusion, personal attention, and a vision for each student.
The school emphasized the partnership with the parent leadership and the school community, as part of an educational concept that sees the connection between the staff, students, and families as a significant basis for student success.
Maoz Maccabim's win joins a series of achievements and professional recognition that institutions and teams from the municipal education system have received and expresses the ongoing investment in promoting excellence alongside innovation, values, and providing a tailored response for each student.
