On Friday, October 2, 2026, the annual Modi’in Bicycle Run 2026 takes place, with 3 routes and with events for the whole family.
One of the biggest cycling events of the year combines 3 cycling routes of different difficulty levels, 3 km, 6 km and 12 km, suitable for young children and families as well as experienced cyclists. Registration opened this week on the municipality's website.
The event, led by the Sports Department of the Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut municipality, is intended for all residents: families, sports and cycling enthusiasts, and more professional cyclists. It combines cycling, music, shows and interactive activities for the whole family.
At the start the cyclists will set off from the municipal Sportek on Menachem Begin Boulevard. The event offers three customized routes, which will allow each participant to choose the challenge that suits them: a 12 km route, which combines road sections and a challenging nature trail for advanced cyclists. A 6 km long family route combining road and easy nature trails. A short and accessible route of 3 km on road only, perfect for young riders, beginners or anyone who prefers an easy experience.
Upon returning to the finish line, participants will receive a medal and the opportunity to try cycling in the adjacent pump track area accompanied by guides.
Participation in the event is conditional on purchasing tickets in advance on the municipality's website by Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Ticket prices are affordable: a single ticket costs 20 NIS and a family ticket (up to 4 people) costs 60 NIS. In addition, you can pre-order a bicycle and helmet for rent for 70 NIS, an ideal solution for those who do not have suitable equipment, but do not want to miss the experience.
This week, the Sports Department invites city residents to register on the municipality's website, join the cycling experience, and enjoy a day of sports for all ages and levels.
